The photo you upload matters more than anything else in an AI pet video. The model can only animate what it can see, so a sharp, well-lit photo of one pet gives the most faithful result. These are the rules we follow when testing templates.
The short version
- One animal per photo.
- The whole head visible and in focus, especially the eyes.
- Daylight or a bright room; avoid flash.
- No people, hands or laps in the frame.
- No heavy filters, stickers or text on the image.
Why one pet per photo
With two or more animals, image-to-video models can blend their faces or swap markings mid-clip. If you want both pets, make two videos.
Framing: not too close
Extreme close-ups of a face give the model nothing to work with below the chin, and some models respond by zooming out and inventing a body. A photo that shows the head and some of the body is safer. FurryFrame's prompts also tell the model to keep the original framing.
Light and sharpness
Soft natural light keeps fur texture and eye color accurate. Blurry or dark photos tend to produce smudged faces and generic-looking pets.
Templates with motion need room
Dancing templates move the whole body, so a photo with your pet's body and legs visible works better than a head shot. Portrait-style templates such as Cat as Human or Dog as Human work best with a front-facing photo.
When a result goes wrong
- Extra legs or a split tail: try a photo where legs are clearly visible, or a calmer template.
- Face doesn't look like your pet: use a sharper, front-facing photo.
- Generation failed: credits are refunded automatically.
- Finished but broken: email support@furryframe.com with the result link and we'll return the credits.

Upload your pet photoFAQ
Can I use an old or low-resolution photo?+
Yes, as long as the pet's face is clear. Sharper photos give more faithful results.
Can there be a person in the photo?+
No. Photos with people are not accepted; crop out hands, faces and laps first.
Does it work with pets other than dogs and cats?+
Yes. Rabbits and other pets work, as long as the photo shows one animal clearly.
Is my photo kept?+
Uploaded photos are deleted after 1 day and are never used to train AI models.
